Cookies on this site
The short version: we set one cookie to remember what you chose, and nothing else is loaded unless you say yes.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for a site to function at all. Others let other companies recognise your device across the pages and sites you visit. Under UK law we have to ask before anything in that second group is stored, and we have to make saying no as easy as saying yes.
Your choice
When you first arrive you are asked to accept or reject optional cookies. Whichever you pick is remembered for six months, and you can change it whenever you like.
The same control sits in the footer of every page. Turning optional cookies off stops us loading those services from that point on. It cannot reach back into something already running in your browser, and it does not delete what was stored while they were on, so to clear that out as well, use your browser. There is a note on how at the bottom of this page.
The cookie we set
One, and only one. It records the answer you gave, so that we do not keep asking you the same question. It holds no name, no email address and nothing that identifies you.

This one is classed as strictly necessary, which means it does not need your permission: storing a refusal is the only way to honour it.
It is also the only thing this site stores on its own account. Everything else described here belongs to a company whose service you chose to load.
Optional: embedded services
Two parts of this site are run by other companies, and we embed them so you can use them without leaving the page. Both are switched off until you agree, and both remain fully usable in a new tab if you would rather not agree.
Gymcatch
Our class timetable and all our bookings run on Gymcatch. Loading the timetable on our timetable page lets Gymcatch place cookies and similar storage on your device so the booking tool works and remembers you while you use it.
Gymcatch brings its own suppliers with it. When their timetable runs on this page, your browser also contacts Google Firebase, which Gymcatch uses to set up and configure the app, and Sentry, which it uses to log errors. We do not control what those two receive. Their data and privacy policy explains what Gymcatch collects.
If you leave this off, the timetable page offers a link that opens the same timetable on the Gymcatch site instead. You will meet all of the above there too, because at that point you are on their site.
Tally
The form on our contact page is built with Tally. Loading it here lets Tally store what it needs to run the form, and to record your answer once you submit it. Tally is based in the EU and keeps form data in Europe. It also logs errors through Sentry, whose servers for this are in the United States. Their cookie policy and privacy policy have the detail.
If you leave this off, the contact page offers a link that opens the same form in a new tab, and our phone number and email address are on the page either way.
What we do not do
We do not run analytics on this site. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share your browsing to anyone. If that ever changes, it will appear as its own switch in the cookie notice and you will be asked again before anything is set.
Fonts
Our typeface is served by Google Fonts. It sets no cookies, but loading it does tell Google your IP address, as any request to another server does. It is part of how the site is drawn, so it loads on every page. If that matters to you, a browser extension that blocks third party requests will stop it, and the site falls back to your system font and stays perfectly readable.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Separately from the choice you make here, your browser can block or delete cookies for any site. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all cover it. Blocking everything will stop the booking timetable working on this page, and will clear our record of your choice, so the notice will ask you again.
